British Penny Queen Victoria Screw Lid Snuff Box / Pill Box / Keepsake / Gift

Just three portraits of Queen Victoria were used on the penny in the whole of her reign: the Young Head used from 1838 to 1859, second ("bun") head 1860–1894, and finally the Old Head (or "veiled head") which was used from 1895 to 1901. The Penny coins used to make this box feature the iconic veiled head image of Queen Victoria. As these coins are over 100 years old they have acquired knocks and marks that add to the unique character of the box.
